Singing In Spain

Hi all!

This blog is all about my journey in Spain. The ups, downs, and everything in between will be shared in what I hope is a fun engaging way!

Enjoy!

I'm officially in Barcelona!!!

… and completely exhausted. I honestly feared that I would never adjust to the time schedule and the new weather *insert dramatic exhale.* For the first three days, I wasn't here yet. Yes, I was physically in Spain, (and my browser kept defaulting to Spanish) but so far all I wanted to do was sleep. Luckily, this feeling was fleeting and now I feel as if I can explore all of Spain and never get tired!

So, if you find yourself traveling, don't beat yourself up if it takes a sec to adjust to a new time zone!

My host family is amazing, my RD (residential director) is great, and my Spanish speaking partner is a pretty cool guy. Not to mention the other students here in Spain with me, are making this trip pretty interesting so far; especially since the first group activity didn't end so well for me. Common sense would advice drinking water when doing lots of walking in hot weather. Obviously, thinking you don't need to drink water means that you might make yourself sick with dehydration. Unfortunately, that person was me <hangs head in shame> On the bright side my group leader and RD was really nice about making sure I made it home safely!

Arc de Triomf (Barcelona, Spain)

On a different note, I kept my promise of releasing my album as I left the states! Freshly released on iTunes and Spotify is "Recording … Take One by L McIntyre", an album of spoken words. Definitely not a perfect recording, but something worth hearing!
